In the New Year

According to the post by open culture about ways to make yourself actually follow through on your new year’s resolutions, one was to make yourself accountable. So, I am now accountable to anyone who takes the time to read my blogs! 1-I want to get started taking the CPA exam. It doesn’t sound so difficult, but in actuality, I have to take another class and then re-apply by July 1. Then they will tell me in their own sweet time what else they want me to do before I can have the pleasure of one of the most difficult exams of my life. 2-Get my fiduciary license. I discovered in a CalCPA talk on how to deal with your aging clients that I already act as a fiduciary for one couple. Now, I need to get a few more, but before that I want to have the sheep skin! 3-Establish operating procedures so that I can train and mold the people I hire (i.e.-James). In working with him I realize it will take me giving explicit instructions on how I want things done. He will be an easy student so this should actually be entertaining. 4-Teach a class on financial awareness. I feel like I am just serving whoever will pay me and this will be my way to give back. Stay tuned!
